Dr. Jean-Philippe Salmin is one of our newest team members. Originally from Belgium, Jean-Philippe is a young and dynamic surgeon. He is a surgeon who prides himself on staying on top of the most recent developments in the field, so he can make sure people receive the most effective treatment to obtain the look they’ve always wanted.
Enthusiastic and highly-motivated, Jean-Philippe leaves no stone unturned in the information he provides to his patients. His superb attention to detail helps ensure that patients are given a full array of the options available in order to help them make an informed, educated decision.
Jean-Philippe graduated in 2005 from the prestigious Université Catholique de Louvain in his native Belgium with a distinction, and was awarded first place in the general surgery training programme. He also has a degree in plastic arts which he feels helps him to separate himself from his peers through the high quality of his cosmetic plastic surgery work.
Earlier this year, Dr. Salmin performed a breast reduction surgery on Amanda Brunker, the novelist, columnist and former Miss Ireland. In Amanda’s own words she had spent years meeting “several plastic surgeons” trying to find the right one to perform her surgery but there was “none that I felt 100% confident in”.
Amanda described meeting Jean-Philippe as the surgeon she had been looking for. “The minute I met Jean-Philippe Salmin I knew I had found the right surgeon for me” and, with his advice and guidance in choosing the best course of action, booked a surgery a few weeks later.
“For anyone interested I would highly recommend the Avoca Clinic and my surgeon Jean-Philippe Salmin to anyone. This is a major operation but everything went without a hitch for me. I’m truly a happy customer.”
Jean-Philippe managed to help Amanda choose the right procedure for the look she wanted and Amanda was “thrilled” with the results.
Jean-Philippe is now an integral part of the Avoca Clinic team and the skill and expertise he brings to our clinic is invaluable to maintaining the high standards we set for ourselves.
