Before Your Visit

Avoca Clinic Reopening and some changes ahead!

As we are a state-of-the-art clinic infection control and adhering to medical hygiene standards have always been of the upmost importance to us and we will continue this policy adhering to the highest standards going forward.

We would like to reassure you that the safety of our staff and patients is our top priority and we have developed a strategy to ensure we can minimize risks going forward.

What changes will we be making?

On Arrival to the Avoca Clinic

On welcoming you to the Avoca Clinic we will be screening everyone coming in by taking temperatures and filling in an active screening questionnaire. Once your temperature is in the normal range and you have no exhibiting symptoms we will proceed to the waiting room. Should symptoms be exhibited we recommend you attend your GP for further testing.

Please use the hand sanitizer supplied to you and also we will give you a face mask on arrival to be worn also. All of these measures have you, our patient, and our staff safety in mind.

Personal Protective Equipment

All of our staff including our Consultant Plastic Surgeon will be wearing a face shield and face masks also where appropriate. Don’t worry our team of Consultant Plastic Surgeons can still carry out a detailed consultation whilst wearing a face shield, and we would kindly ask you to wear a mask also. We will supply these masks on arrival.

One Person Per Appointment

We kindly insist that you do not bring anyone along to your appointment, this includes children and partners. We will guide you through the process and be your helping hand instead. As our goal is to minimize footfall within the clinic this is essential for our social distancing measures.

Waiving of cancellation fee for symptomatic patients

If you are scheduled to attend an appointment with us and are exhibiting signs and symptoms of COVID-19 or have recently been in contact with someone who has COVID-19 or is showing signs and symptoms of it, then please do not attend your appointment. In this case, we will waive our standard €50 cancellation fee and reschedule free of charge. We will reschedule an appointment for you within the appropriate time frame.

New Waiting Room policy

We will be changing how we book appointments to ensure there will only be one person at a time in our waiting room. We may kindly ask you to wait in your car until your appropriate time slot and ask that you to be patient with us while we ensure social distancing can be maintained throughout our clinic. On this note, we ask that you please try and attend your appointment on time.

Social Distancing

We ask that you please keep a 2-metre distance from our staff where possible and be mindful of your surroundings while you are in our clinic.

We look forward to welcoming you to The Avoca Clinic for your consultation and appreciate the ongoing support.
