Also known as the liquid facelift, the 8-point facelift is a non-invasive and non-surgical specialised procedure that subtly defines, lifts and rejuvenates your features. The procedure involves the use of the latest revolution of hyaluronic acid, and as the name suggest it targets 8 specific areas of the face. Focus zones include cheeks, chin, jawline and peri-oral zones – areas where you might experience volume loss due to age. Just one individual treatment can give you a much-needed boost, and lift your features.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED
An 8-point face lift can help reinstate your youthful appearance, let’s explore how this procedure can benefit you:
- Helps you to look younger
- Restores lost volume
- Provides speedy, long-lasting results
- No painful surgery required
- No recovery time required
- Fast and pain-free procedure

Age brings wisdom and experience, but it also contributes to the depletion of elastin and collagen, and can cause fat pads to become thinner. The results include loss of volume - causing the skin to sag and take on a hollow appearance – cheeks may look flat or undefined, and you might experience drooping or hollowing beneath the eyes.
Why focus on just filling out lines or concentrating on one area of the face when you can treat numerous areas at the same time? It’s time to treat the face as a whole entity! The development of facial aesthetics techniques and hyaluronic acids has taught us that anchoring skin above the problem zone will lift lines (rather than adding volume to the area).
The 8-Point Facelift targets specific areas, and as volume is reduced the skin will start to weigh heavier in the mid to lower face region, resulting in nasolabial lines, marionette lines and jowls becoming more defined. Your face is constantly changing; therefore, it’s wise to maintain definition and structure as you begin to age.
Treating 8 areas with Juvederm Vycross fillers will restore volume, definition and symmetry to the face. Add to this the fact that water molecules bind with hyaluronic acid to hydrate the skin, giving you a dewy, glowing appearance, and you begin to understand how this procedure can really achieve full facial rejuvenation
If you’re in your mid-thirties you may have started to notice lost definition or skin laxity such as drooping or hollowing to your face. If so, it’s time to consider the 8-point facelift to give your looks the youthful boost they deserve.
You can expect immediate results that will improve over the course of two to four weeks. The facelift is not permanent, but it is long-lasting (typically you will require a repeat treatment after one year to maintain your appearance).
This relatively short (twenty to thirty minute) procedure will cause you minimal discomfort. Ice packs, plus a topical numbing cream, is used to anesthetise the area, therefore any discomfort is negligible. The filler itself also contains a local anaesthetic, so you won’t feel pain as we inject you. Dr Myers may also use a cannula for extra comfort (and reduce the risk of bruising), the cannula provides one entry point for the filler, rather than the numerous entry points required for injections.
There are a few things you need to do / take into account prior to having an 8-point facelift, including:
- Remove all make up, numbing cream is best applied to a fresh face.
- Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen and certain dietary supplements including; St. John’s Wort, fish oils, Gingko Biloba, and Vitamins C and E. These may add to bruising, so you are advised to avoid for 24 hours before treatment.
- Contact the clinic if you develop a skin condition such as cold sores or acne before treatment.
- Contact the clinic if you are unwell with a cold, cough or other ailment before treatment.
- Contact the clinic if you begin to take any new medication before treatment.
- You will need to read and sign a consent form prior to treatment, and a “before” photograph will be taken.
You should see an immediate improvement and most people are able to go about their day to day business almost straight away. However, you might experience a little redness, a few pin prick marks and some bruising / swelling. You can use arnica cream for the bruising, and an ice pack works well to reduce swelling. Vitamin C can also assist with healing.
Following treatment resist the urge to wear make up until the next day, and we also advise clients to steer clear of vigorous exercise, alcohol, too much sun and extreme cold or heat for two weeks, this should help any swelling to subside more quickly.
