One of recent patients, mother of two Sorcha*, has agreed to share her experience of getting a breast augmentation with The Avoca Clinic. Here, in her own words, she explains why she had a breast augmentation after weight loss, and was back to work after two days.
“After having two kids I decided last March to get fit and loose any excess body weight. What I hadn’t anticipated was the amount of breast tissue I would loose at the same time.
I realized very quickly, that because of my change in lifestyle, my breasts were not going to return to their previous size. So I began to look into breast augmentation. I was only interested in working with the very best in the business, so it wasn’t long before I was pointed in the direction of Avoca Clinic.
I found the team in Avoca to be extremely helpful and approachable. I consulted with three different surgeons. Not because I wanted to, but because the team felt this was the best way for me to make an informed decision.
I have never had surgery before and wasn’t sure what to expect. I could not believe how simple the whole surgery was and how fantastic I felt afterwards. I may have been a little uncomfortable but I was so excited with ‘The Girls’ that I didn’t notice much. I loved them from the moment I woke up.
I have my own business and as I was feeing so good I returned to work two days after surgery.
For me, this was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I feel it gave me a renewed confidence but more than that, I felt empowered as a woman.
I wasn’t happy with something so I changed it. It’s actually that simple.”
