Consultant Plastic Surgeon
In the past Cormac would have listed his interests as golf, tennis, travel and fine dining. However, since having his kids he’s more likely to be entertaining the little people and watching Peppa Pig!
Cormac is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at The Avoca Clinic. With extensive experience working in plastic and reconstructive surgery for the HSE, he joined our team in Avoca to focus on aesthetics and to offer patients a holistic approach to cosmetic surgery.
Cormac trained in Ireland at University College Dublin. He completed his specialist training in the major centres around Ireland, before working as a consultant plastic surgeon in St Vincent Hospital in Dublin. During his career he has presented at international plastic surgery meetings and published many presentations and research in peer reviewed journals. Interested in business as well as aesthetics, Cormac completed an MBA last year. Cormac has been widely quoted as a plastic surgery expert in the media, including in Time Magazine, The Irish Times and Dublin Live.
‘I’m always looking for perfection. You’re never going to get it but you’re always striving for it. You want each procedure to be better than the last one. You’re also wanting to make patients happy – you’re not doing life-saving procedures but you’re doing life improving procedures. It makes a big difference to people, which is very rewarding.’ When not at work, Cormac loves to spend time with his wife and three daughters, aged 4, 2 and 1. If he gets any free time he likes to ski, play golf and travel.
