Who is a good candidate for rhinoplasty?
Ideal candidates are individuals looking to refine their nose's appearance or correct structural issues that impact breathing. A consultation will help determine if rhinoplasty is right for you.
What are the different types of rhinoplasty?
At Avoca, we offer two primary techniques:
- Open rhinoplasty: Involves a small incision across the columella, ideal for complex reshaping.
- Closed rhinoplasty: Involves incisions inside the nostrils, suitable for minor adjustments.

Initial recovery typically takes 1-2 weeks, during which you may experience swelling and bruising. Full recovery and final results can take up to a year as the nose continues to heal.
As with any surgery, rhinoplasty carries risks, including infection, bleeding, scarring, or dissatisfaction with results. At the Avoca Rhinoplasty Centre, our experienced team takes every precaution to minimise risks and deliver safe, successful outcomes.
The cost varies depending on the complexity of the surgery. We provide transparent pricing and offer flexible payment options. A detailed quote will be provided during your consultation.
Before your surgery you will have a full consultation with one of our Plastic Surgeons. Then you will have a pre-operative assessment with our dedicated nurse in charge of preoperative care.
Following the day of your discharge, you will be given your post-operative dressing appointments. These appointments are set in advance, however if you cannot attend, it is recommended that you visit your GP instead. You will also be seen by your consultant 6-8 weeks post surgery when most of your healing has occurred. For your complete assurance, there is a nurse-on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year to answer any questions you may have after your procedure.
